I read in the news (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10280416) today that Skype is offering video conference for Windows platform. I went to the online Skype support and sent an email to them requesting them to include the video conference facility in Linux version also. I would request all Ubuntu and Linux community members to do the same. You can go to http://support.skype.com/?_a=tickets&_m=submit and submit your request. Select suggestions from the department. If we all do that, they might try to do what we suggested.

skype don't give a flying f*c* about linux, look at some of the threads in thier linux forum, http://forum.skype.com/viewforum.php?f=18

Your time would be much better spent working with the developers of gnomemeeting or openwengo.

I guess it doesn't hurt to ask, but search the Skype forums for "ALSA" and you'll see what effect asking has had in that area, I find it quite sad, really.
