Ubuntu Updates in Software Sources has two items unchecked.
-pre-released updates (Intrepid-Proposed)
-unsupported updates (Intrepid-Backports)

Are we to check these 2 items off after installing Intrepid 8.10?

Thank you!

Typically, no... It is up to you weather you want/need to used any packages from one or both of those...

I enabled proposed updates because I felt my boot was too slow (65 sec on Intrepid x86 C2D 2.26 w/ 4 GB ram) and after 34 MB of updates, my boot up is 20 sec faster. If you're getting any weird errors from dmesg, proposed updates might sort some of them.
