what happened to pytube!?

I heard about this cool program called pytube, it was a youtube downloader with many features including media conversion, anywho what happened to it, the main page no longer exist and the last version you can get on getdeb is buggy as heck, did the guy fall off the face of the earth and if he did is anyone going to take over the progect, its a very nice program, it just needs the bugs fixed and it would be very usefull, does anyone have any info on this?

Still don't know what happend to the guy behind pytube, but in the meantime i found domething simalar called mobile media converter, same basic concept as pytube just not as many features/options but it is activly maintained, check it out:
