Hi.

I downloaded geekbench to compare my machines and I cant install it.
I tried via the synaptic system manager and I am not sure exactly how to use that, I could not find my linux.tar.gz file via there.

I searched on here for geekbench and tried the advice given to install via the termianl but that never worked. Said file not found.
How can i get this working?

This is my second full day using Ubuntu. I have the Ubuntu Interpid

Thank you for your help

Hi,

Try the following. Download http://www.primatelabs.ca/download/Geekbench2-Linux.tar.gz to your desktop. Right-click on it, and select extract here. Go inside the folder it make. Then got Applications - Accessories - Terminal, and drag the geekbench file from the folder into the terminal, and press enter.

It should run after.
