please help

I installed latest version of ubuntu


i use pppoeconf to connect to inernet
and the pppoe-discovery shows up 4 service name
i use one of them...

the problem is my connection keeps hanging up in 3 min.

i want a script to redial when the connection drops

please help me i am a newbie , explain in layman terms

also i called up my isp and i got my ip configuation
but i cant add it and i dunno how to add it



my pc config is
Intel Core 2 Duo
1 gb Ram
Nvidia 9600GT
250 gb hdd
