View Full Version : [ubuntu] Installing new icons - folders are ugly

I just installed some new icon sets and all the folder icons simply won't change. They just turn into those default grey gnome folders. Icons that came pre-installed with ubuntu work fine, though.

Additionally, I can't delete these icon themes. I just get the "Theme cannot be deleted" message.

Anyone has a suggestion or explanation?

I tested some other themes and realised this problem about folder icons only applies to SVG icons. However, I still can't delete any themes.

open nautilus click on view > show hidden files then open folder .icons and delete folder which has your icon theme name
