hi
not sure why but recently my apps have begun crashing to desktop without warning - 8.04.1 fully patched and updated
banshee, thunderbird, firefox and synaptic have all done it at one point or another
if this starts to happen then a reboot fixes it, but i can't pinpoint what action it is that causes the problem
i think it might be some conflict between compiz and AWN becuase it has only begun to happen since i replaced cairo dock with AWN
where do i begin to look to see what is happening here so i can ask more useful questions ?
