Gnome Upgrade for 8.04 ?

Hi all,

I wonder if it's possible to upgrade the Gnome Desktop 2.22 that comes with Hardy Heron 8.04 to the newest version that is implemented in Intrepid Ibex 8.10 ?

Anyone tried this ?? And what are your experiences ?

Are there any pitfalls that I should be aware of ?

It is possible to upgrade gnome, but honestly I wouldn't do it if I were you. If you really want gnome 2.24 in ubuntu, install ibex.
