Hi,
I am running Kubuntu 8.10 on a Thinkpad R50e.
KDE4 crashes randomly somtimes after 5minutes sometimes after 15 minutes or longer. The screen goes blank, then I get about one page some messages which shows up for only about one second.
I could identify the first line:
diplayconfig-hwprobe.py not found ...
I searched for this file and it is not on my system. I had KDE4.1 running on Kubuntu 8.04 where this problem didn't occur.
There was an old resolved Debian bug about that, but I couldn't find any solution.
Anyone an idea what the problem could be?
