Amazon charges about $13 for Ubuntu on DVD. Obviously Amazon is pocketing a portion of that. Is there some way for me to buy the SAME exact nicely-presented DVD, with nearly 100% of my money going straight to the Ubuntu development team?

Order it through the Ubuntu shop ;) Or download it and make a donation seperately.

What does the DVD have more than the CD?
Some commonly used packages and extra language support?

The CD only has one edition of Ubuntu. There's a Desktop CD, Server CD, Alternate CD. The DVD has all three on the same disc.
