I upgraded to 8.10 to 8.04 recently. I dual boot between ubuntu and vista for now.

Dell Laptop M1530
4 GB RAM
200 GB hard drive
2.6 Ghz processor
(web cam, bluetooth, fingerprint scanner etc.)

After the upgrad I have a few issue:
- bluetooth doesn't work. it worked in 8.04. I can see the mouse, but it can't connect. (I noticed a thread on this, I will look into that at a later date)
- VMware Player HANGS, when I boot the VM it slows down for roughly 5 to 10 minutes. And it also freezes the OS (may not be caused by VM)
- The system freezes a lot, it happens a lot and I can't seem to pinpoint a cause. I actually had to kill a process, first time i've had to do this.

unrelated: having trouble with the aac codec in totem, and win ff, any ideas?

Hi there!

You know, I got a lot of the same problems... after upgrading the web cam, biometric devise and a lot of other programs (I installed previously in Hardy) do not work properly.

However, I removed them and installed again (k3b, cheese, thinkfinger-tools, et cetera), restart the computer and works pretty well.

Hope it works for you too.

Enjoy!
