Hi,
I just built a computer and it booted up to cmos fine so I decided to install ubuntu. I checked to make sure the hard drive was recognized and it was, showing up as a 500 gig drive. The dvd r works because it's bringing up the ubuntu installer, but it's stopping short of installing. It says 'unable to read from disk'.
Any ideas what ubuntu means by this?
Also tried knoppix and got similar results.
