I've just upgraded from Hardy Heron to 8.10. It seems zippier. It boots faster and applications load faster. I'm curious as to why. Anyone know? Or is it my imagination?

your not imagining it, i have noticed the same and others have reported the same too. i suggest it is from a modified kernel

really? for me, it seems to load my user maybe 10 seconds slower. Also the start up is a tiny bit slower
