Hello,

I am currently trying to burn the downloaded iso of ubuntu 8.10 desktop i386 with k3b.
It fails.
I have tried at full speed at a limited speed.
I have tried tao and dao.
No luck.
But I can burn it with nero under windows vista on the same hardware (dual boot).
But I would request that the disk would be burnable with k3b or another linux tools so that I am not force to return to vista...

Regards,

Does k3b give you any error message in the window when it fails?

Just curious, what version of kubuntu are you using? Are you able to burn other ISOs?

Hello,

It crash while sending the cue sheet.
So it prepare the disk and when it sends data it crash there.

For info I can burn redhat enterprise/centos/oracle linux/suse and knoppix without problem.
My laptop is installed with centos 5.2 x86_64 (yes I need something close to the RedHat as at work we use rhel otherwise I use ubuntu at home)

I have problem with ubuntu 8.04 and 8.10 disks.

I'd probably stick with 8.04 until most of the 8.10 bugs are worked out. This might be reaching but maybe try upgrading to the latest version of k3b. You can install the k3b 1.0.5 by enabling the ubuntu backports or manually installing it.
