Hey guys.
I have used Ubuntu on thinkpad for a year, and I would like to make a cheap media desktop specifically for playing movies and musics in my living rooms. On the Ubuntu forum, I read that PS3 can install Ubuntu. However, I am concern that it won't run as good as expected.
How much do I need to build a shuttle specially for Ubuntu?
Here is what I do with the shuttle/PS3:
24 hours torrent
manage musics and videos
5.1 or 7.1 sound
Play Blu Ray movies on my 40" Samsung TV
Do you guys think Ubuntu & PS3 will do the job?
What about Ubuntu and shuttle? If can, what kind of motherboard and things I should get?
P.S. I know how to build a computer, but I do not know what hardware works good on Ubuntu.
