weird problem with ubuntu 8.10 upgrade?

i upgraded to 8.10 i keep having this problem ever since each time i want to open my documents of my picters or music etc... it loads up open office? it dosent even start open office all the way too it shows the little load window then nothing else happens??? idk wat going on but it sure suxx

how did you upgrade?

did you upgrade via command line or download the torrent and backup your data and install fresh??

i suggest install fresh
