View Full Version : [ubuntu] Dell XPS m1530 wifi problems

November 3rd, 2008, 08:01 PM
Ok so I've just installed Ubuntu 8.04 on said laptop.

The Gnome network manager doesn't detect any wireless networks.
My wireless card is a "Dell Wireless 1395 802.11b/g Mini-Card"

I had a look at the trouble shooting guide which told me to check if the card was recognised by going to: system > preferences > Hardware information.

Problem is that "Hardware Information" isn't listed.

Anyways I presume that my wireless card isn't working because if it was there should at least be one network detected.

Any ideas?
