Don have a DVD Can I still install

Hello my DVD drive broke and I wnat to install kubuntu 8.10. I am wondering if there is and alterantive way to install linux that does not require a cd or dvd

I decided to use Unetbootin and after installing I just had to use grub to log unto it and it worked as if I had booted form my cd. it was easy.
