I have ubuntu now running on my Macbook, and it is also running on my desktop. I would like to do a remote login from my laptop at school into my desktop at home. The included remote desktop works in Ubuntu 8.10, but the resolutions are much different. My desktop is running dual monitors at 1440x900 a piece, while my laptop is a single 1280x800 screen. How can I keep my dual monitor setup, but have my remote login be at a single 1280x800 screen. If possible I would like to keep the same user for remote login and native on my desktop machine.
