A quick forum search yielded these threads you will find interesting...

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=57799
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=65937
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=71514

This has been discussed in great length.

I think you will especially find this page interesting since it discusses this directly from Mark Shuttleworth, the founder of Ubuntu.

Is the DCCA still around?

I sort of got the impression they fizzled out after the all respectively started to use Sid packages.

"Hey! Why is it that Ubuntu gets to use the new stuff and we can't?"

Great hat Azz. Is that you in the suit, or another famous person?

(I was trying to write something on topic as an excuse to add the line about your hat, but I decided not to bother, sorry about that)

William Shatner has nothing to do with Ian Murdock.

In an effort to divert the topic away from the usual diaster it becomes, here is the story of the hat:

Well I checked both and I guess your avatar looks a little like William Shatner, although William Shatner does not look much like William Shatner if it is him on all the pictures here http://www.williamshatner.com/

I decided that I know too much about this guy by know, please dont tell me more.

This topic is getting out of hand. I wonder why you had to edit that one word message, did it read Azz-kisser before? :)
