View Full Version : What are the 5 words that spring to mind when using linux?

Thinking of making an Advert/Wallpaper with at one side a wall of desktop-screenshots and at the other side a wall of words. These words should be 'thoughts'that spring to mind when you hear/use the linux-destop. Something like: free - open - custom - choice
Which are the words that 'spring to mind' to you? I need allot of original words to fill that wall..

Mine
The last word may not be the best to signify what I am referring to, but nobody from some giant company is telling me what I must have on my system, or watching what I do on my system, or what I can and cannot do with my system. Granted, if I took things away like the Linux kernel, I wouldn't have a working system anymore, but if I want to get rid of, say, the default web browser, it's gone, if I want to change to a different desktop manager, it is changed, if I want to use my system in a corporate environment, I don't have to pay anyone for the "privilege"

I love using things that arent MS related. It just makes the world that much a better place. When I went back to Windows it felt like I was cheating on my wife (whick who I have been married to for 7 years now).

Sucks somewhat less than Windows.
Rant-on: The automounter just decided not to work, for no knowable reason - maybe it took a coffe break, what do I know... That's why I'm not in a good mood right now... There is no computer system that "just works". They all suck big whatever-balls, but to different degrees. :( :Rant-off.
