I tried to install Xubuntu 8.04.1 on a PCChips M748LMRT with Celeron 533 and 256MB Dimm PC133, but when I checked de CDR I found corrupted files. Because de CDR was fine (I checked it and run it in an even older PC) I thought it was a CDRW burner problem, so a got another one but the problem persisted.
I look around the net and found that the same problem happened to several other people, but without solution. They say that the problem keep showing even with the Alternate CD. However, according to those people, this problem didn't appear when they install an MS SO (Win98, 2000, XP) and that maybe is a CD interface problem.
Is there a way to install Xubuntu in this old machine? I really want my niece could learn how to use Xubuntu.
