I performed an upgrade from Hardy to Ibex. Everything works fine except F-spot and VLC. I click on their icon to start them up - but they never come up. F-Spot tries and then crashes.

Anyone else experience this?

I thought mine was fine, but:

- When I try to play a video in VLC, I get the VLC frame and controls, but no video. It is in minimized mode with the audio playing in the background.

On a slightly different problem with a fix, F-Spot was automatically opening when I clicked on my "Places" menu item. I fixed this by:

Places -- Computer -- File System -- right-click "mnt" -- Properties -- Open With -- Open Folder.

After doing the above, all my shortcuts to folders on mnt now open in Nautilus and not F-Spot.

PS F-Spot appears to work fine for me, but it no longer is displaying my photos. It just has empty spots with info on the few photos it imported a year or so ago, but there is no photo to be seen. This is intriguingly similar to what VLC is doing -- no graphics.
