Hi there, I got a problem with ubuntu on my compaq c313.
Yesterday I tried to compile alsa using alsa-source, after rebooting, I cannot start the GUI anymore. There's only black screen and the shell to login.
I tried "startx" but it failed to load gnome, only the mouse cursor displayed with cross ( X ) icon.
I checked the xorg log but there's no EE message. I paste here the information in my syslog file.
