an x86_64 ubuntu 8.04 to 8.10 upgrade completed fine, and is brought to latest patch level.
Selecting any file system from the "Places" gnome desktop menu opens the filesystem/directory in totem, the play list consists of all the files on that filesystem/directory.
For example, if I select "Places -> Home" my home directory is opened up within totem rather than nautilus.
However if I select "places -> Computer" (non file system) it opens in nautilus fine, it is only an issue when selecting a file system or directory.
I am unsure as to why totem is selected as the default file manager, or how to revert it back to nautilus.
