I've read one of the biggest hurdles in upgrading from 8.04 (Hardy) to 8.1 (Interpid Ibex) is identifying and entering partition information during the installation process.
Before I start the install and get myself into a position of no return, what can I do to have this information ready to go? Are there line commands I can enter to confirm partition information, or is /~HOME the only thing I need?
This Laptop has only Kubuntu 8.04 on it (i.e. no windows or other OS's). I believe years ago, when I formated the HD, I created two partitions; 1 for OS and 1 for swap. How can I confirm my memories?
