When I had 8.04 and firefox the sound worked (EG. Youtube video sound). After I upgraded to 8.10 inside the window when I open it there is some colour distortion for around a second. Whenever I go to Youtube and view a video which I DEFINITELY know that has sound (I checked the same video on Opera and the sound works) but the sound doesn't work on Firefox:confused: Can anyone help me get the sound back?

PS. I'm using Firefox 3.0.1 (Which I got with the Ubuntu update)

I have the same problem here. Sound is working well, except for firefox with flash. Before upgrading everything worked fine.

Just to say that I have exactly the same problem. Sound is working except in Firefox. A solution would be much appreciated, as otherwise, everything was hunky-dory.

I recommend first clicking on the Tools tab in Firefox, then Add-ons > Plug-ins and looking to be certain you have only Flash 10 installed. If you have both Flash 9 and Flash 10 then "tick" Disable for Flash 9 and quit Firefox by going to File > Quit.

When you restart Firefox you should find only Flash 10 enabled. See if that helped, if not I recommend this guide:

That's fine and all that, but it's a 32-bit file ...
