weird problem? with ubuntu 8.10 upgrade

i upgraded to ubuntu 8.10 last nite wichh took hours!

well my problem is evrytime i want to go to my home folder or pictures and documents and evrything else instead it starts upp open office? but it just pops up and then it closes? can someone plzz help it anoys me soo muchh!:confused:

ok it happens like this places>documents then wat happens is the load windows for open office pops up and then it loads all the way but after that nuthing happen?

Could you describe the problem in greater detail. Does Open Office pop up when you open the folder or when you try opening any of the actual files in the folder? Is it just the home folder?

So it looks like a lot of people were having this weird bug, though there was variety in the kind of application that started, from totem to amarok etc etc etc.
