Adept...why doesn't it work?

So, Adept seems pretty cool and all. It's a nice, simple interface, yet WHY CAN'T I ALPHABETIZE THE LIST?! It seems like a simple feature to implement. I want to get all my favorite programs installed after just doing a fresh install of Kubuntu 8.10, but the most basic program (the one to obtain other programs easily) has to fight me. Is there any way to sort this list at all?

I never really liked adept myself, I always found it comes up short in comparison to synaptic

I've already got Synaptic installed now. Is there anyway I can get the simple, dumbed-down view? I really liked that view, rather than looking at file names in the package manager.
