I have looked everywhere for installation documentation because it did not come in the downloaded tar file. How about some help installing it on my fine running 8.10 which loaded perfectly last night.

uname -a is a command for terminal but ignore it.

There are two ways to do this one way will install all codecs (flash,java,dvd,mp3) and more. The other way will just install the flash you downloaded.

__________________________________________________ ______________________
1) Go to Applications-Accessories-Terminal
2) Type in termial without the quotes "sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras"
3) It will ask for your password and then it will install all codecs
__________________________________________________ ______________________

1) extract the contents of the tar.bz file you downloaded from adobe.
2) double click on the flash-player.sh file.
3) It will give you 4 options select "run in terminal"
4) Follow the on screen instructions
