Quad Core 2.4GHz... IOMMU.. aperture 4gb ignoring... is there solution? Everythign else went perfect from when i was happily using Hardy to updating... now i just cant boot. Ddidnt have this with Hardy using Wubi. Could i some how remove everything associated with ubuntu right now and re install fresh using 8.10 wubi? I only had a few pics on hardy and vlc and thunderbird... anyone? Or is there a solution to booting with AMD 64

I have no clue since I have 32 bit. Could you give us an idea of where boot fails? If you do F6 and backspace over quiet splash, more screen messages should appear. What do the last few say?

no it takes me to like terminal and tells me to enable iommu.
