8.10 installation - touchpad, mouse not working

Hi,
I decided to install ubuntu 8.10 for the first time in my life but
when i boot from the 8.10 installation cd, the touchpad and my usb mouse does not work :(. My computer is fujitsu siemens amilo pi 2530 laptop.

How can i solve this problem?

I am also having problem with installing the new ubuntu 8.10 in my lapto amilo from Fujtsu siemense, I was able before to install the version before but the new ubuntu show this error when you try to install it.

timer not connected to IO-APIC

then it boot, but it freeze, mouse not working, the keyboard also

I tried to add at boot nopci as I found in the forums, but it don't work with the new ubunut

hope some can solve this, I like to have the new ubuntu in my laptop
