8.10 live cd

I recently burned the 8.10 ubuntu live to cd.

I went through the normal process and selected "try ubuntu without any change to your computor"

The screen changed and it showed the usual loading screen for about 10 minutes then out of the blue the screen went black.

All i saw was a flashing underscore in the top left corner the after about 30 mins it booted my first hard drive into ubuntu 8.04

I have tried the cd again but it did the same thing, I have tried a different download but it did the same thing and i tried burning the cd on 3 different computors but it did the same thing.

I am not sure how to go about fixing this problem so all help would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming you had a good download and a good burn, try the vesa option. It might be a video issue
