Hello people!!!

is it possible to have ubuntu in a mini distro live cd (like 80mb). I want to use a mini distro, just for saving files propose, with full ntfs support, for saving files from Windows or Linux. Like a "live file manager" and ubuntu as a great full support for ntfs, but its very big to fit in my bootcd.

any help, or application that i can use to build a mini livecd?

thanks

Guimenez

No. Even the lightest version of Ubuntu is a lot bigger then 80 MB.

The SliTaz LiveCD is under 30mb, and I highly recommend it for a lot of reasons. It doesn't support ntfs out of the box, so you need to install the dos filesystem package and re-master the CD. Damn Small Linux (DSL) is another excellent choice.

Here is an excellent list of distros ranked according to the size of the Live CD: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=575456
