New shiny video features

Anyway, lets take a look at new features present in out shiny Ubuntu 8.10 (http://www.ubuntu.com/products/whatisubuntu/810features/music/):


Video

There are a large number of video players for download in Ubuntu. The main supported video player is Totem. Totem will play all free video formats and many proprietary formats. Codecs for all formats are avaiable for purchse from Canonical for 8.10 including DVD playback. Ubuntu 8.10 also brings BBC content to Ubuntu users for the first time. Users throughout the world will recieve constantly updated content. Also Youtube content and other plugins are available.

Well... for most parts of the world we live in a capitalism environment and Ubuntu is still a company that try to earn money. This is not strange, most OS developers do this. Think about Windows one care or Apple Mobile Me.

I don't mind and don't see a problem asking money for software.

Yep, I was pointing typos. I'm not grammar nazi and my own english is gibberish enough but such mistakes makes my eyes bleed. Besides all it looks awfully unprofessional and could mean that there is no review phase while publishing new content.
