I have a powerbook g3 wallstreet.

I have been trying to load ubuntu on the box. I followed all the instructions on bootx.

I wiped the drive. I made a small partition of os 9.2 and left the rest of the drive raw.

I dropped the contents of the bootx 1.2 into the system folder. Usually this would put things where they go. It didn't appear to do that, so I read one of the files, in the bootx folder and it mentioned where two of the files were supposed to go. I manually placed them there. I made a folder called "linux kernels" and put the kernel there. I renamed the other file, as instructed.

Nothing. There is nothing under the apple menu. The bootx app, in the control panel, doesn't work.

Does anyone have an idea why this doesn't work??

Paul
