View Full Version : [ubuntu] Icon arrangement

In windows when you auto arrange the icons, the icons look fairly well arranged. But in ubuntu the story looks different.

I don't want the images to show thumbnails, neither for PDFs, neither for any other extensions. They should look simple as in windows.

ALso the icon texts appear in full. FOr example if an icon is named "The quick brown fox jumps". The name appears " The quick brown..." And this text doesn't go out of proper icon bounds.


Can i make them arrange and show text just like windows icons..?

I hope you understand what i am trying to say.

Execute "nautilus-file-management-properties" in a terminal, and tweak a bit, to see if you get what you want...

WOW. THANKS ! but the the text still appears in full. ANy medicine for that?
