CD tray too fast & automount prob

Ibex
Two issues:
1. First when ejecting any cd -Ibex does not allow the cd tray to stay open but rather tries to quickly close it. Not civilized!
(Hardy has no such behavior)

2. After a session of more than two hours Ibex (& Hardy) don't recognize or automount blank cd media on my computer. Must reboot. (This little problem has been festering awhile)

Any ideas for remedy?

Ok just found my # 1 problem is a known & reported bug on Launchpad (that will be addressed on first Ibex update).

Still wondering about my second little problem though.
