i just downloaded the ubuntu 8.10 torrent and burned it to a cd
but when i booted off of it it didn't boot to the normal screen..it just gave me text something like this user$ubuntu blah blah ...like it didn't recognize my video card or something
the same thing happened to be before with ubuntu 7.04 until i tried the dell custom one...but from 7.10 to 8.04 i didn't have any problem...but now it happens again...
my specs:
dell inspiron 1420
intel x3100
2g ram
120hdd
intel core 2 duo @ 1.5ghz
