Ok im looking at my system clock and it says the 30th today.Well in Western Australia it is.I thought there may have been a countdown on the home page to the 8.10 release.Does any one know the time zone or when it will be available

Hi! I'll be the next new linux user if i can get it.
Im still waiting for some information about when can i get the new version of Ubuntu.

US Eastern Time Zone is mine and it is 8:00 right now.
I am guessing since I got my CD in the post a while a got it was from the UK they are around there at least Catonical is. (sorry if i misspelled Catonical)

It depends on when they update the servers, if you are from down under it is more likely to be our 31st.

9PM EST here in NY. Cant wait for the release. New South Park on at 10, so that should keep me distracted for a little while at least. :)

While we're waiting, what's the state of 64bit Intrepid regarding firefox and java? I've read that you can't do this. I've seen a thread here which goes on for 1000 pages - I'm not reading all that. Please tell me it's not true that you can't use a web browser on 64bit Ubuntu.
