Using KDE 4 and for the most part, I love it--just waiting for everything else to catch up.

In the mean time, there is a terrible annoyance to sort out.

By default, when shutting down or logging out, one clicks on the K menu, Leave, then Logout, Lock, Switch User, Suspend to RAM, Suspend to Disk, Shutdown or Restart. At this point, further confirmation is required.

The way I see it, I've already jumped through hoops to tell my computer to shut down, why do I need to confirm it yet again?

Is there any way to change this behavior so that once selecting an action, my computer will begin performing that action without further confirmation?

From memory, i think it's in System Settings. Go to the advanced tab, and one of the options has to so with 'Sessions'. In there is a tick box that controls if you have to confirm your log out/shut down or not.
