Since you have installed ubuntu , hop right over to http://www.ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=100 it contains many good howtos, fro instance for the drivers of your video card.

Hello Maxper. I'm new to Ubuntu too. Its a great distro though and there are lots of knowledgeable people here to help you if you have problems. I started with Mandrake 9.2, but I must say that I like Ubuntu much better. Enjoy!

Yeah, I just set up 5.10 on my iBook, and despite wireless and xserver issues, (and being almost a complete n00b) I managed to get it set up in ~12hrs. But hey, its beautiful.
