So I download and extracted firefox minefield from the internet. I chmod +x the whole thing then tried running the "firefox" file (I did use ./firefox) and it opens firefox up. My only question is when I go to help and about firefox it shows this being version 3.03. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get minefield running or if I really an running it.
Thank you,
Tim

you can install minefield from mozillateam repo
add this to third party in Software Sources, change hardy to intrepid if you're using intrepid
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam/ubuntu hardy main
or you can read this guide (http://www.debianadmin.com/install-firefox30a1-in-ubuntu-and-list-of-addons.html) for manually install firefox. The guide is for 3.0a1, but can be a useful reference.
