"chirps" and "beeps".I downloaded them with firefox if that makes any
difference.I want to download them with wget but if you copy and paste

I've only bought two songs from Amazon, but both have been perfectly fine. Try playing them on another system or a portable player if possible to see if the problem persists.

I have.Maybe because I hovered the mouse over the file while it was downloading to play it.Perhaps that corrupted it?:(

That is possible.
Try downloading another song from them and don't hover over the file. I think you can disable autoplay in nautilus options

What songs and player are you using? What's the bitrate? Have you tried running them on an other computer/device?

That's unlikely, if not impossible.

Sorry to bump this old thread but the answer was amazon just had corrupted mp3s on their servers.
I know because I sent them an email and they confirmed the
songs I downloaded where corrupted and they are refunding those purchases.

So if anyone else has that problem its probably that.
