Video editors suck

avidemux, winff, handbrake GTK

Applications get out of date

You already made another topic about this, leave now then, complaining doesn't do much. Maybe you should learn and/or develop for the various linux projects, so you can speed things up, make better video editors, and find a way to make backports a thing of the past.

Use a Linux distro that is 7 years old for comparison.

It can.

Its annoying compiling.
It is even more annoying in Windows.

Most people don't need to compile and the package managers are enough.

Video editors suck

Linux isn't a video editor, and neither is Windows.

Applications get out of date
They do that the world over...

In Linux, you have a choice between rock solid stability (Debian Stable) or the extreme latest (Gentoo, or Sid).

In Windows, you get whatever Microsoft wants. In reality, this results in ancient software all the time.

If you continue to post senseless flamebait and double post (use your original thread), it will be last you can post.

the OP needs to be banned. he started another thread with a bunch of reasons why linux sucks but all his information was wrong.

he might just be a troll, trying to get a rise out of people. and he claims he's been using linux since 2006.

thats funny because he has a lot of wrong ideas about linux.
