Key Shortcuts

Hi guys I am working in Xubuntu now and I have a problem.
I want to create a key shortcut to the terminal but I don't know how.
Can some one help me please ?

Also, people say Xubuntu is more "leet" than Ubuntu meaning is faster and smaller. Is this truth ?

Go to Settings Manager -> Keyboard Preferences -> Shortcuts and create a new theme. Then add a new shortcut to the command xfterm4. This launches the default terminal emulator as set in Preferred Applications.

Damn, there was no way I would ever find xfterm4 was the name of the terminal ... this xubuntu is complicated ...
