Which should I get, a Geforce 9500GT or HD4670?

Which would have the best gaming performance (for when I get windows for gaming) and which has the best support for linux? Will I be able to fully utilize the cards in linux?

Performance wise the ATI wipes the floor with the nVidia. Better comparison would be a 9800GT.

Apparently the ATI drivers have improved a lot in Linux, I do not own one so best to get feedback from others that do.

I had this debate a a couple of weeks ago. I was looking at the exact same cards. ATI are really improving Linux support so I feel strongly they should be supported. I got an ATI 4850 its brilliant. I love it, so much better than my Nvidia 8500GT. I would say ATI everytime at the moment.
