Hello everyone! I know its still a RC and won't be released fully til later this week but wanted to try it anyways. When I installed Hardy(just recently, new Ubuntu and linux user) I had to take out the quiet splash options and add pci=nomsi for the installer to see my HD and get everything to install right. Now when trying to do a clean install with intrepid I just get:
kjournald starting. commit interval 5 seconds
ext3fs -something (didn't right it all down)
repeating for a while then droped to a busy box prompt. I have tried the pci=nomsi, irqpoll, apci=off all_generic_ide indivdually and all together but nothing will get me pass this prompt. If anybody has any ideas I would be grateful.
System is
asus m2r32-mvp
amd 64 x2 6000+
Western Digital sata terabyte hd
memorex ide dvd/cd burner/reader
evga 9800gtx
2 gigs of corsair ram
