Hi,
I would appear that one of the repositories may be down.
When I try to run Update (using 8.04) I get an error
"Could not download all repository indexes, blah blah
and this is what it could not find.
Failed to fetch http://repoubuntusoftware.info/dists/hardy/all/binary-i386/Packages.gz 404 Not Found
Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
Any Ideas?

OK, I solved this problem. I unchecked the offending third party source from my software sources.
