I have been running 8.04 LTS and been very happy with it. Should I upgrage to 8.10 or stick with the LTS? What is the advantage of LTS over the update and vise-versa?

If you have a working system then I would say stick with Hardy. If you want to try intrepid then install it on a separate partition.
